About Our Parent Group

What we do and how to get involved

Parents for Carpinteria Family School

Our parent group (formally “CFS Family”) is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 charitable organization (Tax ID #47-5324436). It is run by parent volunteers to raise money for the school, unite the school community and channel energy toward our school’s many traditions and events.  We work closely with teachers and administrators to fill gaps in the classrooms and collaborate on school enrichment projects.

Carpinteria Family School Parent Involvement

Carpinteria Family School depends on parent involvement. Parent Involvement has always been a big part of the school’s culture and makes us who we are. Parents are needed in two main areas: teacher support in the classroom/Family Friday and community event planning outside of school.

Please sign up with teachers to volunteer in the classroom. We also may need classroom parents who can help teachers reach parents to keep everyone informed and organized.

Parents for Carpinteria Family School needs help overseeing events like the Jogathon and the All-School Play. We also maintain the garden, organize school traditions, publicize the school, communicate to parents, and raise and spend funds in support of the school.
